About the Event

Happy Summer Palmetto Allegros! 

Louisville KY – Kentucky Heritage and Bourbon Tour (Part 2) rally dates have us arriving Thursday, June 17th 2027 and departing Sunday, June 20th, 2027 to head home.

In Louisville KY, we have made reservations at Bourbon Springs RV Resort in Elizabethtown KY. We have negotiated a discounted rate of $75 per night.
Please tell them you are part of the Palmetto Allegros when making your reservation. We recommend you register ASAP to get the best sites and pricing.

Part 2 of the rally consists of three days of cultural and/or Distillery Tours in the Louisville KY area (please RSVP to the events separately).  Pricing includes Lunch at Churchill Downs on Friday and Happy hour, Dinner and Desserts on Saturday. Rally price DOES NOT include the separate Cultural and/or Distillery Tours. For this part of the rally the Price is $80 per coach and $40 for each person over the two allowed for the coach.

Please RSVP separately for the Cultural Events and Distillery Tours.

There will be 2 nights that we eat at local restaurants in Louisville area that are not included in the Rally fee . 

Both Groups (Cultural and Distillery Tours) include tours of the Louisville Slugger Museum, Frazier Museum and Church Hill Downs (Lunch is Included at Churchill Downs)

Please note the following:

  1. In order to be able to make reservations for the individual events we need everyone to RSVP by January 15th, 2027. 
  2. If advance payment is required for any event we will let them know once we have that information. 
  3. Unless otherwise specified by event, all payments are due by May 1st, 2027. 
  4. Any cancellation and refund dates will be noted once registration for those events are completed.  Any cancellations after May 1st, 2027 are not refundable.  

More information will be sent out closer to the rally date.  Looking forward to a great time together.

  • Lunch – On Your Own – Options at/near Campground in Elizabethtown
  • Dinner: Dutch Treat, Restaurant downtown TBD

Friday June 18, 2027

Cultural Tour: All Rally Participants – Leave Campground at 10:00am

  • Churchill Downs– 700 Central Avenue, Louisville, KY  (502) 636-4400
    • Included in Activity Fees
    • Live Racing – First race @ 12:45 , depending on number of races last is 5:00-6:00pm

Meals:

  • Breakfast – On your own
  • Lunch – At Church Hill Downs – included with ticket
  • Dinner: Dutch Treat – location TBD

      • Narrated Old Louisville walking tour through America’s Grandest Victorian Neighborhood.Meeting place – West Ormsby Avenue & South 4th Street 
      Haunted History Walking Tour – 2 hours – Daytime tour
      • Enjoy true tales told against the backdrop of spooky Victorian mansions by day, in old Louisville, known as America’s Most Haunted Neighborhood.  From the books of bestselling author David Domine.Meeting place – southeast corner of South Fourth Street and West Ormsby Avenue
